Aww...Graduation!Looking
back to Fall 2008, I never thought I would see the day. With help from family,
friends, and professors... I MADE IT. All of their prayers of encouragement and
support is what guided me to walk across the graduation stage. May 12, 2012, a
date a will never forget, the day I graduated from Morningside College. I
graduated in four years with a double major in Elementary and Special Education
with a Reading and Coaching Endorsement. I also graduated with honors. I never
thought in my wildest dreams that I would have a 4.0 GPA in 7 out of 8
semesters of college. I proved to myself that if I dedicate my time, energy,
and fully commit to my work, it pays off. I am proud to look at all my
accomplishments while I attended Morningside College. I was an officer of 5
different committees around campus, on the Dean's High Honors list every
semester, track and field participant for 2 years, ran on the nationals 4 by
800 team, received the Cathy Posey Simons scholarship for Special Education,
community volunteer for Into the Streets, part of Who's Who Among Students in
America Award, and received the Owen's ARC Graduation Award. Today was a
wonderful celebration with family and friends.
Ivy,
Hunter, and I at my graduation. I have the best siblings!
At
the time, my fiance, now my husband. My supporter!
My
dad, myself, and my mom. My number one fans!
This
is my cheering squad. They supported me day in and day out throughout my college
career. Thank you everyone for your love and support. My parents, siblings,
grandpa and grandma, my in-laws, and my friends Sara and Justin. Love you all!
My teammate, Christie. We were each others side-kicks with all our our education classes together. Can't believe we're done! Without her, I don't know where I would be. So proud of how far we have both come! This school year she got her first Special Education teaching position. I know she will be the best teacher to her students! I am excited to hear how her year goes! Best of luck friend! Love you!!!
Cheers to... four years of hard work in the classroom, running, new friends, laughter, tears, new memories, roommates, dogs, Nate, and smiles.
Goodbye Morningside.
Sabrina
