Football...

November 24, 2012 was a sad day. This day marked the end of hard work, dedication, preparation, hours of watching film, morning meetings, lifting weights, running, drills, teammates, and memories. The past four years Nate put 110% into BEARCAT football. He focused his mind and effort on his teammates and coaches.

BEARCAT history-
Freshman Season-2008- Shoulder surgery, learned Bearcat defense, looked up to Miles Burnsides (safety)

Red-Shirt Freshman Season-2009- Played end of a few games, Bearcats Win National Championship in Florence, Alabama.Played in three games ... had two tackles vs. Missouri Southern (10/10) ...MIAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll member

Sophomore Season-2010- Traveled to away games Played in six games ... had five total tackles ... recorded three solo tackles ..broke up two passes, one against Missouri Southern (10/9), one against Fort Hays State (10/30)

Junior Season-2011- Started every game, lost to Pitt State 3rd round playoffs LStarted in 12 games in the Bearcat secondary … finished the season with 32 tackles … recovered three fumbles on the year including two in the season opener at Truman State … returned one of the fumbles 22-yards for his first touchdown of his career in the blowout win over the Bulldogs … also recorded three pass breakups on the year

Senior Season-2012- Captain, started every game, 7 interceptions, 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-American Academic, 1st Team All-American, 1st Team All-Region (Can't remember all the awards, sorry Nate)
More Stats to come.

Needless to say, Nate had a great career as a Northwest Missouri State BEARCAT. Not only did he end his career playing the game he loves, but he met lifelong friends along the way. As it was hard for him to say goodbye to football, he remembers the good times and is grateful he had the opportunity to play.

Once a BEARCAT, Always a BEARCAT!

Great Season, Great Career
Love you!
Sabrina
